Day 4. Carlinville, IL to Dixon / Devils Elbow, MO

Didn't we have fun getting through St Lois, aaarrrrrggggghhh. Not sure how big St Lois is but seemed to go forever, we went through some parts of town where you wouldn't want to break down, really really seedy.

Docs Harley Davidson at St Lois, Missouri (MO)
Mick had the chits at this popint in time as the GPS was driving him nuts, we stopped at Doc's HD for a coke and checked there amazing store, it was absolutely massive. The temperature riding around was about 37 celcius

After having a feed of Walleye (fish) and salad, because Mick is sick of "stodgy" food, we were back on the road, well out of town.

The riding has been really slow today, Route 66 goes through lots of small towns, and you need to navigate through a lot tuirns to keep on route.

We were given a good tip for a place to stay tonight, and hopped on the interstate freeway for a while, and managed to catch up some time - 75mph is a whole lot faster than 35 to 40. Any way we travelled about 350Klm today, so we are about were we need to be.

The other tip we got, was to visit the Devils Inn at Devils Elbow, MO (its on Facebook), weve been to check it out allready, and were about to be collected by a cab to go back. They love us there, its a really cool biker bar, with some great people as well.

Worlds BIGGEST Cracker (and some fireworks(lol)

Oh, i forgot to say we had a pit stop and nearly bought some fireworks.
Our room for the night
Any way cabs here, more on the way soon.  Love to y'all.Dave & Mick
