Day 5, Devils Elbow, MO to Marshfield, MO

After a late start we hit the road, cruising the back road again.  We were late as we slept in a bit, due to the hospitality afforded us by the locals of Devils Elbow.

We had a few Corona's and ordered BBQ ribs that are smoked and BBQ'd on site, omg what great ribs.

Mick, Terry (owner of bar) & Dave
If you look at the top of the pic above you will see part of the 450+ collection of donated bra's that adorn the ceiling, along with a bunch of dollar notes

The bar was pretty much a hang out for the military folk of the area, never met a more welcoming bunch of people any where, a great time was had, even if we didn't do the Karioke thing

The Wingmen's Bar
The last stop was at the bar of the local chapter of the Wingmens MC.

Tommorrow we head through Joplin, MO. I guess we will see a fair bit of destruction as we pass through. We will eventually find ourselves in Oklahoma somewhere, we will get away early to catch up a bit. We are both looking forward to a good long ride tommorrow, though it is forecast for thunderstorms again, so we'll see. There's also been a few Tornado warnings, so we just have to be aware, we just heard on the weather channel news a story of a nine year old who survived being flown 1/4 mile by a Tornado recently!
