Day 6, Marshfield, MO to Tulsa, Ok

Hi Y'all,

Well a good early start had us out of Missouri, right through Kansas and into Oklahoma. We have had a day of riding through big wide open praries, with long straight dead flat highways. We left the motel with our rain gear on, but soon had it off enjoying the sunshine. Passing by many derelect remains of stores, servo's etc that adorn the old route 66.
Dave gettin his kicks

This is an original route 66 bridge, though it's now by passed by a new upgraded bridge.

After a great day, we ended up at the Cherikee Hard Rock Casino. As some other states, the casino profits go to the Cherikee people directly.

Its a real step up from places we have been in.

We did a few sums before, and figured we need to keep on the pace, as we still have 1250miles to get to Vegas, so we make that 200 miles a day to allow some extra time to fit in Monument Valley / Grand Canyon. It could be really easy to get behind, but we'll be right.

Dave brought a new camera today at Wal Mart, but it now seems we have to go back to Wal Mart because it doesn't turn on! Not having much luck there :(

We keep getting great tips from people who stop and talk to us, askus where  we  are from, where we are off to etc. Today's best tip was to stop in at a motorcycle museum in a town called Vantage, it was really cool. The same guy invited us to go rafting with him up in Denver Colarado, unfortunately we can't fit everything in.

Good to hear the comments coming through,

Dave & Mick.
